For nearly 30 years, North Lincolnshire Council has served at the heart of our communities - from the streets of Scunthorpe to the market towns of Brigg, Barton and villages beyond. We’ve made our own decisions, managed our own priorities, and fought for what matters most to our people. This could all change.
The Government is looking to create ‘super councils’ which would see current councils disappear and decisions on services taken by much larger organisations. Decisions on support on planning, leisure, parks and gardens, bin collections and hundreds of other services people rely on would be made by a new ‘super council’.
Local businesses will be given every opportunity to make their voices heard - with a questionnaire going to every business and voluntary organisation and will be available online and in the council’s local hubs. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for businesses to have their say on the future of North Lincolnshire.
